It annoys me sometimes that I can have only 12 pieces left but not have the time to do. Why do I chose to puzzle before work?

Birthday Jigsaw Puzzle Progress – Puzzle 7 of 10 – Part 13 – Haphazardness
I liked how my progress branched out haphazardly just like a tree’s branches. When I was learning to paint trees quite a while ago I was told by my tutor to make the tree branches more random as in real life the trees do not grow a branch perfectly either side of the trunk – my OCD tendencies had manifested in my painting haha. But that advice did stick with me.
Birthday Jigsaw Puzzle Progress – Puzzle 7 of 10 – Part 12 – This Ain’t New York City
Just continuing the foliage. The rest of the puzzle is just a clump of autumn-y trees. My friend, Yvette, came to visit me and we chatted while we tried to put some pieces together. She said I should go to her house and help her with her New York puzzle as she’s having trouble making progress on it.

Birthday Jigsaw Puzzle Progress – Puzzle 7 of 10 – Part 10 – Jigsaw Puzzle Struggles
I wanted to show that sometimes it is a struggle to do a jigsaw puzzle. Especially when you have the puzzles with a lot of pieces that are similar in shape and have similar colouring/patterns on them. On the photo I’ve put a pink circle around the piece that I was looking for and put in the puzzle. Along the bottom, I have lined up all the pieces that I tried before I found the right one. So I had quite a few attempts!
Birthday Jigsaw Puzzle Progress – Puzzle 7 of 10 – Part 9 – Silos Complete
Had a good session this morning after work. I managed to fill in the silos. I really, really love doing jigsaw puzzles. They’re so relaxing. It’s a great way to unwind after work before bed. My body is busy and my mind can start sorting through things and file everything away. It’s almost a bit like a zen meditation for me.
…When I have a good run like I did this morning. Sometimes it can be frustrating when you can’t find the piece you need. Haha!
Birthday Jigsaw Puzzle Progress – Puzzle 7 of 10 – Part 8 – Do Silos Have Edges?
Not a lot of time to work on jigsaw puzzling today either. I wanted to do a close up to try and show and explain how I find the pieces and put them together. Especially if you’re like a lot of my friends and family that struggle with jigsaw puzzles. What I managed to do in this puzzle session is put together a line of puzzle pieces running vertically up the center of the taller silo where a grunge line runs close to the ‘edge’ curve of the silo before the smaller silo then comes in (if that makes sense).
On each of those pieces that run that center line, they all have a really dark line on the edge running vertically and they have that dark grey-brown to light grey-brown gradient running horizontally. As well as that you can notice the really thin band lines that run horizontally.
So in other words, there’s a lot of distinct features on the silo that when looking you can find in each of the pieces in order to put them together. When you have the pieces you need grouped, quite often you can piece together by that distinction mentioned above or, and this is especially true of sure-lox puzzle pieces, you can see which pieces fit together by the shape.
Do you see how unique the shapes are for each of the puzzle pieces?
